Announced! Cricket 2022 by Big Ant Studios; Release Date, Price, Features & First Look
The much awaited follow up to Big Ant Studios Cricket 19 i.e Cricket 22: The Official Game of the Ashes is set for launch on November 25 for PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC – with a Nintendo Switch version in January 2022.
Cricket 22 is said to be the first cricket game on next-gen consoles, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series S/X. The announcement was made on Thursday, 7th Oct from Big Ant Studios developer.
Cricket 22 will not only feature the Ashes competition, but it also brings Australia’s Big Bash T20, Caribbean Premier League, and England’s The Hundred. Moreover, the game will come with fully-licensed teams from Australia, England, The West Indies, Ireland, and New Zealand. Similar to Cricket 19, both men’s and women’s games will be represented throughout Cricket 22.
With the official involvement of leagues such as Big Bash, The Hundred, and CPL, you can also expect their 30 teams to be involved as well, be it Melbourne Stars, Sydney Sixers, Knight Riders, or the Oval Invincibles.
No Sign of INDIA in Cricket 2022
In Cricket 22, No sign of India and other cricketing nations like South Africa, Pakistan, etc, though that won’t be a big issue as it might offer to download a whole host of fan squads that would replace the unlicensed teams – replacing the random generated players with popular cricketers like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and so on. Community will still play a huge role in this one.

Cricket 22 game releases on 25 November 2021 for PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. For Nintendo Switch, Cricket 22 will arrive in January 2022.
Cricket 22 Pre-Order (Early Access)
Pre-orders on Steam, PlayStation and Xbox will have access to Cricket 22 THE NETS CHALLENGE from mid-October 2021, in which the fans will get early access to part of the Cricket 22 gameplay experience, including nets and training games.
Upgrades to the next generation consoles will be absolutely free. This means that gamers who purchase Cricket 22 on PS4 or Xbox One will receive a free copy of the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S edition.
